Products that help us sleep better are quite popular. Nearly 20% of Americans have used some form of sleep medication in the last 30 days. And many of us are using some form of sleep aids even if we skip medication. We rush through our days, then try to turn off our thoughts and sleep on schedule, often being frustrated that the sleep is elusive. We are hypersensitive to sounds, and the smallest noise can rob our sleep. Even when we get to sleep, it doesn’t take much noise to pop us back into wakefulness. The frustration just makes the problem worse.

Noise machines that produce a calming, continuous background noise are becoming increasingly popular as a sleep aid. They are helpful in blocking out the random noises that might awaken us and spoil our delicate sleep. Those random noises could be anything from a household member’s snoring to traffic noises outdoors. It’s interesting that adding even more noise with a sound machine can help us ignore random noises. Why does this work?

Data processing centers
Let’s back up to how your brain functions. It is always receiving information coming from your senses and from all of your body. You know that light can interrupt sleep, so you draw the curtains, maybe even using blackout curtains, and turn out anything that produces even a little light. When you see light, signals are sent to your brain. The same happens for sound. Your brain is in the information processing business every moment of the day or night. Unexpected signals could be important and your brain has to consider them at some level. In the wild, unexpected sounds could mean that a predator is sneaking up, so the primitive circuits in your brain are ready to alert you if a sound could mean trouble.

Noise generators produce regular patterns of noise, the most common being white noise, which is just some of every sound wave all thrown together. It forms a blanket of noise at all audible frequencies, so that any other noises tend to blend in with the generated sound blanket. The random noise is not reduced or muffled in any way, but your brain is unable to tell that it existed because it blended in with the noises your brain had already determined are OK. Nothing unusual is detected, so no alerts.

Sounds are merely waveforms in the narrow audible range of about 20 to 20,000 cycles per second (Hz). There are many waveforms we are constantly bombarded with at other frequencies. Those also have effects on us, although our senses are unaware of most of them, excluding light of course. Those aren’t the only waveforms we encounter: our brains produce brainwaves as well. These brainwaves are similar to the frequencies of light and sound in that shifting either the frequency or intensity of the waveform conveys information. A single tone of constant amplitude conveys no information to us, and if it continues without variation, it goes from being boring to being outright aggravating (just ask someone with tinnitus).

Information rich
Your brainwaves are full of information, more so than a roomful of people talking would be full of sound information. These brainwave signals are the most sophisticated way that your brain communicates with your body, because a lot more detail can be sent via waveforms than by nerves. Your nerves are pinpoint communication where data is directed to the spots where the nerve endings occur, but your brain sends broadcast signals through electromagnetic waveforms that reach all your cells simultaneously.

Waveforms such as white noise are meaningless: the waves are random, with no information or data added to the waves. When you speak, you change the sound waves that are generated by your vocal cords in various ways: you change the volume and frequencies that you emanate, and then modulate the waves with your tongue and mouth. All this would still be meaningless if no one hears your words, because information requires a transmitter and a receiver, a coder and a decoder. Brainwaves might seem to just be a natural emanation of your brain’s activity, much like an engine gives off characteristic sounds when running without conveying information. But they are sophisticated encoded waveforms that your body can decode.

In one study, published in Environmental Health and Preventive Medicine, researchers from Nagoya University discovered one frequency that could be interpreted by the inner ear. In this study, participants were exposed to a 100 Hz frequency for a minimum of one minute just before engaging in an activity which would normally cause motion sickness. Those first exposed to this specific frequency did not develop the symptoms of motion sickness. The specific frequency stimulated sympathetic nerves of the inner ear to activate the vestibular system and temporarily prevent motion sickness. Only 100 Hz worked, because that was the coded signal that the inner ear was keyed to.

Brains are not limited to a few frequencies, however. They emanate a broad range of brainwave frequencies, and we know very little of what the brain can encode. We can measure brainwaves easily, even though understanding them is still a challenge. We can, however, look at brainwave patterns for healthy brains, depressed or angry brains, calm brains, or brains in various levels of rest or arousal and then see the effect on the body. It is clear that the brain of a mentally well-adjusted person is emanating codes which promote health in that person’s body, while the brain of a depressed person is sending codes which lead to poor physical health. The encoded frequencies the brain sends out to the body then run the body, either positively or negatively.

There is a therapy called brain wave entrainment which causes a synchronization between specific external frequencies passed through the senses, usually via sound or light, and the internal frequencies emitted by the brain.  Like the Nagoya University study, particular frequencies known to be health promoting are supplied — which, through the brain, have a positive effect on the body. The idea is to train the brain to produce those frequencies on its own to avoid dependence upon the therapy itself. Since the brain is working 24 x 7, we want it to be producing healthful frequency signals 24 x 7 to achieve maximum health.

I think, therefore I broadcast
Brainwaves are a form of language. In one review study conducted by researchers from the University of California, Berkeley, CA, published in UC Berkeley News, intracranial recordings were decoded so that the researchers could predict the words the participant had heard in a conversation merely from temporal lobe activity. They compared their predictions with what was actually spoken during the conversation with surprising accuracy. They also cited promising research that may soon allow someone who is unable to speak to verbally be able to speak through technology which reads the brainwaves in real time. That is possible because brainwaves are sophisticated encoded waveforms – frequencies modulated by other frequencies and amplitude much like broadcast radio or TV —  which could legitimately be called “language”.

The first organ that positive brainwaves help is the brain itself. Brainwaves are a major way that parts of the brain communicate and coordinate with other parts; they emanate from neurons in the brain talking to each other.  Depression, poor memory, unstable emotions, and low concentration may be due to negative intra-brain signals — bad talking in other words. Since the brain is an organic machine, it is responding to input: that input may be from the body, other parts of the brain, but on top of all that is thought. The mind is where thought originates, and the brain is the mechanism which turns thoughts into signals and biochemical reactions. But it is a two-way street: not only do thoughts cause brain response, but brain activity can affect our ability to think. And since most thoughts are subconscious, you only notice the result of all the interactions that happen due to your thoughts. Your health can he impacted simply because of thoughts that are circulating through your brain. The seeds of those thoughts were mostly sown when you were very young — ages zero to six — yet they affect you now. So your brain suffers first from those thoughts, but since brainwaves telecast to your whole body, all your cells suffer.

Entrainment therapy teaches your brain to produce certain frequencies, this therapy uses modern brain imaging techniques to rewrite new neural programs to replace harmful subconscious thoughts. This allows your brain to send out signals across the full frequency spectrum that are healthful. Such therapies are not limited to specific frequencies; rather, they emit throughout your brain to produce positive frequencies while reducing the negative signals. So if you want to become the person you really were meant to be, rather than stressed-out, worried, or troubled by thoughts you can’t even control — that can only happen by reprogramming your subconscious thought patterns.

Dr. Nemec’s Review

Let us restate the importance of the Nagoya university study: one particular signature frequency caused a physiological change, which reversed a physical symptom. Let us say it another way: a particular frequency emanated to the cells in the body cause the body to change the outcome completely.

Do you understand the importance of this study? A frequency completely took away a symptom.

Let’s take this the next step: a frequency could completely take away a disease. A frequency can bring health to the highest level.

What is the most powerful frequency of all in regards to the cells of your body? Brain frequencies — because your cells have been trained to listen to them from in utero. The sheep know the shepherd‘s voice; the cells know the brain wave’s voice.

The key to mental emotional health
So many people in this world suffer from anxiety, depression, ADHD, hyperactivity, emotional highs, and lows all the way down to brain fog, memory loss, and increasing levels of cognitive dysfunction.

Where does brain health start?
In the brain! In the brainwaves which are encoded messages that are communicated from the brain to the other parts of the brain and into the every cell in the body.

The key to physical health
When a person gets diagnosed with a disease, what is the first thing they start to change to try to heal the disease? Their diet? Their exercise? Their sleep? Their lifestyle?

These are all important, but unfortunately, secondary to the master controller of all health, which is your brain. It emits messages, the brainwaves which are constantly communicating to the hundred trillion cell community of your body.

Subconscious key
The brain is constantly emanating messages, and 95% of those messages are subconscious programming — meaning you’re not consciously aware of the messages being sent because they were programmed earlier in life for survival. This is overlooked by most everyone, yet it is the most important key in your health — both mental, emotional, and physical health.

Conscious coder
The conscious mind are the thoughts you are aware of and are generating because of your awareness — these only affect 5% of your brain health and your physical health. This means your consciousness or what you are consciously aware of, that you’re consciously trying to change, is a minor player in your total health picture. This includes all the self-help, self-taught, positive thinking activities you engage in to try to improve yourself.

95 vs 5
No matter how hard you try consciously no matter how many positive professions you speak no matter how many good thoughts you think no matter how hard you try to improve yourself you’re conscious mind is only 5% of the programming that controls your mind and body.

Your early subconscious programming wrote the neural pathways that control your thinking and the physiology of the cells of the body.

Why is it this way?
It’s a matter of survival. When you were in utero up to age 6, you did not have a conscious filter yet so whatever was spoken by the environment was taken in as fact, and a program was written accordingly, because in this age group, the nervous system was developing rapidly and it’s most important priority was, and always is, survival. So most of these early subconscious programs were survival programs based in fear and doubt.

Sympathetic stress
Your nervous system controls most of the organ and gland functions in your body by two divisions of your nervous system, the sympathetic and parasympathetic divisions of the autonomic nervous system. The sympathetic division is the accelerator, and the parasympathetic is the brake. Most of the subconscious programs written in early childhood were sympathetic dominant, meaning they were stressed based. The information taken in from the system produced stress and different degrees of fear and insecurity, so the brain had to write neural programs subconsciously to survive in this environment, and that is what runs your hundred trillion cell community today.

Now can you see how important the brain-body connection is, not only in your mental-emotional health, but physical health as well?

There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death

When we get diagnosed with severe depression, anxiety, or a major disease like cancer, the answer offered is always medication. But the questions should be: does the medicine rewrite the neural programs? Will the medication change the brainwaves that are being sent to the other areas of the brain and into all the areas of the body? Will the medication treat the cause or treat the effect?

The answer
You must look to the brain to heal the brain, and you must look to the brain to heal the body.

3-D brain imaging measures all the brainwaves in every part of the brain. This type of imaging gives invaluable information, not only about the brain, but also about the body. Once the 3-D brain imaging is decoded, then the proper frequencies can be transmitted into the brain and into the body to entrain them to  parasympathetic-dominant healing and health. Once these programs have been written on the hard drive of the brain and neural pathways subconsciously, it completely changes mental-emotional and physical health, and brings it to the highest level. It all begins and ends in the brain and with brainwaves.

At Revolution Health & Fitness this is what we have researched and produced a unique protocol for balancing brain and body health.

So whether you’re a high level executive, CEO of a fortune 500 company looking to optimize yourself at the highest level, you struggle with severe anxiety, or you’ve just been diagnosed with a life-threatening disease: the answer can only be found in the brain.

How can you be all that you’re called to be when you’re not even addressing the 95% player?
